Martin & MacArthur craftsmen designed the Richmond China Hutch inspired by the classic plantation estates of old Hawaii. The hand-carved pineapple on each cabinet door reflects the significance of this succulent fruit in the history of Hawaii. Across many continents and cultures, the pineapple is a sign of welcome and gracious hospitality. It is truly a universal symbol of “gracious Hawaiian living.”
The Richmond China Cabinet is made with two pair of framed glass doors. The cabinet doors swing wide open 180-degrees to allow for easy access to precious items on display. Inside the Display Cabinet are three adjustable glass shelves on the left side and three on the right side, for a total of six glass shelves. More shelves can be ordered if desired.
Cool LED lights discreetly turn on and off with the touch of the center door hinge on the right of the cabinet. These internal LED lights can be adjusted to different levels of illumination by simply touching this door hinge.
The base of the Richmond Display Cabinet offer deep and discreet storage behind two pair of Koa frame and panel doors. The base cabinet comes with one adjustable Koa shelf inside each side for flexible storage for items of almost any size. More Koa shelves can be ordered if desired.
Three deep drawers are featured in the center of the base of the Display Cabinet. These drawers have hidden drawer slides so you never see the metal hardware.
Rest assured, Martin & MacArthur only uses Koa from dead or previously fallen Koa trees. We never cut down any live Koa trees. We are a leader of sustainable Koa reforestation efforts throughout Hawaii.
